My name is Gary F. Perry and I am the founder and director of Final Farewells: Civil Funerals & Bereavement Support Services. I am a professional full-time Civil Funeral Celebrant and Bereavement Practitioner working to support bereaved families during a challenging time in their lives.
In 2009 I was awarded a Masters Degree (MSc.) in Bereavement Studies having successfully completed a 2-year postgraduate course at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) convened by the Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) and accredited by the National University of Ireland (NUI). In 2016 I completed a six-month course in Civil Funeral Celebrancy with the Irish Institute of Celebrants (IIOC).
I live in Dublin and work regularily in the crematories at Mount Jerome, Glasnevin and Newlands Cross. In addition I am also available for graveside committals and have previuosly officaiated in Deans Grange Cemetery, Glasnevin Cemetery, Balgriffin Cemetery, St. Fintan's Cemetery (Sutton) and many others; I am willing to travel outside of Dublin if necessary as the need arises. I am completely independent and happy to work with any Funeral Director, funeral arranger, or individual family member. I offer an extensive suite of services - from tribute writing to conducting the full ceremony.
Most importantly, I've got broad shoulders, open arms, lots of compassion and a good pair of listening ears - all pre-requisites for the job of a professional full-time Civil Funeral Celebrant and Bereavement Practitioner.
